Yes, I write every day. I write personal stories that I’ll never share as well as my novels that I’ll be putting out there to the world. I have a writing routine for my morning writing, and that’s where I work on my novels, but I also write for fun any time I feel like it.
The last couple of mornings have been a little more of a struggle. That’s okay. I’m still building habits and working my way through the stages of writing. I’m enjoying the experience and learning that’s involved in novel writing. My enthusiasm hasn’t waned at all, but I’m still feeling the effort. To make sure I don’t burn out, tomorrow I’ll take it easier. I’m at the first editing phase in my YA book, and that’s going well, and I’m starting part 2 of the erotica book, where I get into the explicit scenes. The first half was more a romance and was fun to write, but now the real fun begins. So, tomorrow when I go to write, I’m just going to finish a big emotional and important scene involving physical intimacy. I don’t know how much writing that will be and I don’t care. I particularly enjoy writing those scenes, and my personal writing is full of them. It’ll be a great way to relax and have some writing fun with no pressure. I know, most people think of a rest day as not doing the activity at all. That’s fine, too, or I could just do a quick writing prompt to keep the inspiration flowing. However, I love writing the intimate scenes, so for me that is restful. Write what inspires you. Happy writing!
