Who Am I?
An avid reader when young, now I write my own books. My life has been a wild ride and I've learned so much about myself. Since high fantasy stories are my favourite, that's what I write.
When I discovered I probably had ADHD, it changed my life. Creating is just a part of who I am, whether I am writing or drawing, dancing, painting, or making music. Once I learned to channel that energy, writing became so much easier.
What am I doing when not writing? I adore martial arts, especially working with weapons. It's not about violence and fighting, but self control and athleticism. You'll also find me in the garden or outside, enjoying nature.
For my American readers: I am not American. I tend to use the British English spellings and grammar rules. If words look wrong, especially if there are extra u's or z's and s's are mixed up to you, that's just a difference in the English styles.

What am I working on now?
I've got multiple books in progress. Aili's second adventure as an apprentice Scout is done the first draft and being polished. A Flash of Light has been released on audiobook and I am recording the next one, Rogue Magic. I'm also writing the sequel to Rogue Magic, yet to be titled. There's also the growing list of other works-in-progress and ideas...

AI and Writing?
Do I use AI to write my books? No. I write from start to finish as me, all by myself. I don't use it for brainstorming, outlining, or writing in any manner. It's possible some of my editing tools have AI involved. Most things seem to these days. Even Microsoft Word seems to have it in their spellchecker and such. My audiobooks are also all me, start to finish. I narrate and edit them the old fashioned way, just me and my software.
Does that mean I've never used AI? Again, no. As someone with time blindness and questionable organizational skills, I have found AI to be useful to help me with non-writing tasks. I prefer to use it as little as possible. AI uses a lot of resources, like power and water. I like to walk softly in life where I can.
Note: I have used AI to make images. When writing in the fantasy genre, it's hard to make your own images without it. Some of the pictures on this website are pictures I made with AI. As an artist, I am familiar with the ethical and moral discussions around AI and art. One day I hope to be able to work with an illustrator and have completely human made art.
