The Forest Guardians series is full of magic and adventure, friendship and loyalty, and saving the world, of course.  An ever growing young adult series that follows Aili and her friends as they protect the forests, and each other.

Also in the works are a couple other books.  The one about martial arts mentioned below, which also looks at friendship and persistence is partly through the first draft.  Another book, this one set in the future, explores a young woman and how she decides what she believes.  She must look at the world a new way when she experiences life outside her group for the first time.

Facing the Fire

“You have to learn to work with fire, sooner or later.”

Aili was desperately hoping for later.  Her nerves are still damaged.  Her emotions are all over the place, and she hasn’t recovered from the lightning attack.  Why add the stress of working with Fire Magic to her life?  What if she  burns down the forest?

How did a trip to be healed end up with Aili running through the forest, while hiding from kidnappers, as she tracks the source of a blight?  After nearly getting her teacher killed before, can she still trust her decisions?  Can she  face her deepest fear and escape a forest fire she didn’t cause?

Magic was supposed to make her life better, wasn't it?

Healer's Strength

Her family kept secrets, leaving Aili feeling betrayed and devastated.  Her teacher figures a trip to the rainforest is just what she needs to help her refocus.  Aili always wanted to learn more magical healing, and the best Healing Center in the country is there.  Perfect, right?

There’s more to being a healer than she ever knew, and the forest keeps calling and Aili can’t resist the summons.  Must she choose between them?  But when a mysterious illness spreads, Aili has to help.

With people and animals falling ill, all healers around are searching for the cause.  Will the illness take Aili’s choice from her, or can she help find a cure and save her friends before it’s too late?
