Forest Guardians
Welcome to Athia, a country of magic, where everyone can use spells. Everyone, except Aili, that is. As the first person born without innate magic in centuries, she has no status in society. With limited prospects for her future, she leaves to find her place in the world. It’s hard growing up at the best of times, but when you’re different for all the wrong reasons, growing up can feel impossible.
Still, the forest is her home, and when her home is threatened, Aili has to act. Can she make a difference?
Still, the forest is her home, and when her home is threatened, Aili has to act. Can she make a difference?
Aili is taken in by the Scouts when Andvari discovers her in the woods and identifies her abilities. Sure, she can't use spells, but she can do many other amazing things. All she needs is some guidance and to learn control. Oh, and maybe the occasional lecture on the misuse of powers.
Through her adventures, she visits the various forests and wild places in her country, as she follows Andvari from Scout camp to Scout camp. Her world goes from the local area she grew up in to nearly the whole country, broadening her experiences and ideas about life. She confronts her own ideas and identity and encounters many different people as she travels.
